Which pillow should you choose in case of neck or back pain?

Do you often suffer from neck pain, shoulder pain or even back pain in the morning or throughout the day? Your pillow might be the culprit. We are happy to help you in your search for the best ergonomic pillow to reduce or even solve your neck problems.

1. Is your pillow worn?

The first key step is to check whether your pillow needs replacing. On average, a pillow lasts 2 to 3 years. A worn pillow will not be able to provide enough support, resulting in neck pain.

2. An ergonomic pillow against neck problems

Is your pillow not worn at all yet, but do you often get up with neck pain? Then you should consider an ergonomic pillow. An ergonomic pillow is a moulded pillow that offers more support than a standard pillow. A good ergonomic pillow ensures that your cervical vertebrae remain in a neutral, relaxed position while you sleep. The neck cavity is nicely padded, so your neck is correctly supported all night long. Thanks to the right ergonomic pillow (combined with a high-quality mattress) you will get up without stiff neck muscles or back problems.

An unmoulded pillow, such as a down pillow, is very cosy. For people who do not suffer from neck or back problems, such a cuddly pillow is of course ideal. However, if you need a little more support, it is better to choose an ergonomic pillow.

3. Various types of ergonomic pillows

We have a wide range of ergonomic pillows at our shop. We are happy to show you the different types:

Ergonomic pillows of different thicknesses

The height or thickness of your ideal pillow depends on your sleep position, build and mattress. The pillow should be high enough to support your neck optimally, but if you sleep on your stomach, for example, you will need a low pillow.
