A latex mattress has a latex or rubber core. This can be natural latex from the rubber tree or synthetic latex, but usually it is a combination of the two.
Which base should you put a latex mattress on?
A good latex mattress takes on the shape of the body, provided that it is also well supported where necessary. We therefore recommend choosing a good slatted base to put below it.

The difference between synthetic and natural latex
Natural latex is more elastic than synthetic latex. As a result, it takes on the shape of your body a little more. On the other hand, it has a shorter lifespan and a large ecological footprint, particularly when the latex is turned into foam on the other side of the world, since a large volume has to be transported very far.
Still looking for a latex mattress that ventilates well? Then you should definitely consider Talalay latex. This latex has undergone additional treatments, resulting in a more open structure.
Latex or another mattress?
A disadvantage of a latex mattress is its lower ventilating and moisture-absorbing capacity, which is lower than that of a good pocket spring mattress or geltex mattress. It does ventilate better than most other foams though, such as memory foam and cold foam. A latex mattress is usually a full block of material, which makes it feel warmer than a spring mattress.
