Equilli was founded at the Department of Biomechanics of KU Leuven. Ing. Vincent Verhaert, PhD, has been researching the impact on the ergonomics of sleep systems for years. To this end, he works closely with sleep specialists, physiotherapists, engineers and doctors.
Equilli makes made-to-measure mattresses, but not without first carrying out a Personal Sleep Scan. This scientifically based measurement of your back and sleep position tells us which support you need at shoulder, waist and hip level. The test is done here at our shop and only takes a few seconds! Afterwards, our sleep experts can set to work with your personal profile.
Based on your personal impression profile, we put together a mattress with interchangeable zones, adapted to each customer's unique build and sleep position.

The scan provides objective advice on the ergonomically optimal configuration of the mattress.
The height of the pillow is also taken into account.
The configuration is carried out using separate modules for the following zones:
- Shoulders
- Waist
- Hip area
There is a choice of 12 hardness levels for each zone. In total there are 5 zones, and the length of these zones is also adapted to the height of the sleeper. As a result, the mattress is fully customised to your body.
In addition to objective measurements, subjective impressions are also processed, such as how the mattress feels:
- some people prefer a firm mattress
- others like it softer

Equilli sleep contract
De Nachtwacht also offers a sleep contract with the Equilli mattress, which acts as a guarantee certificate. Through this contract, the modules can still be modified up to one year after purchase.
