Down, synthetic or perhaps wool?
Many people sleep soundly under a down duvet, and for good reason. A down duvet is soft, light and allows you to enjoy a good night’s sleep. Nothing is more blissful than crawling under a cosy down duvet in the evening.
A synthetic duvet is heavier than a down duvet, but cheaper. Another alternative is a natural hair duvet. These duvets consist of cashmere, Alpaca wool, regular wool or camel hair, for example. Read more about the pros and cons of each type of duvet below.

A synthetic or down duvet?
The choice between a synthetic or a down duvet depends on your personal wishes and your budget.
Our down duvets are filled with high-quality goose down, so the duvet wraps more smoothly around your body and feels soft, and above all light. Down provides better insulation than feathers, as it has a greater volume and therefore retains the insulating air better. The natural filling allows the down duvet to breathe, keeping you warm in the winter. A summer duvet, on the other hand, diffuses your body heat, keeping you cool.
A synthetic duvet is heavier than a down duvet, but cheaper. However, a down duvet lasts longer because a goose down duvet absorbs moisture and releases it when the duvet is aired. What's more, a down duvet can be professionally cleaned and refilled after a few years through our down cleaning service.
Natural hair duvet
An alternative is a natural hair duvet. These duvets contain camel hair, wool or cashmere, for example.
These natural hair duvets feel slightly heavier but can optimally drain body moisture. They are often a good alternative for people who like to sleep under a blanket, but want the look of a duvet.
